The challenge
Cricket fans in India follow matches and build fantasy teams across separate apps for scores, news, and fantasy picks. CricDream needed to bring live match data, news, and a Dream 11-style team builder into one app with simple phone-based login, so a fan could check a score and set their fantasy team without switching apps.

What we built
We built a native Android app with phone/OTP login, a home feed of live and upcoming matches, match details with live score and squad info, a cricket news section, and a Dream 11 screen where users pick and save their 11 players per match. A PHP API serves matches, teams, news, and saved fantasy picks.
Phone OTP login
Fans sign in with their phone number and a one-time code, no passwords to manage.

Home screen lists live and upcoming matches to follow.

Each match screen shows the live score and squad information.

A dedicated news section with cricket stories alongside the match data.

How it’s built
CricDream is a native Java Android app backed by a PHP API that separates concerns cleanly: match and score data, news content, and saved fantasy picks each have their own endpoints. The fantasy team screen mirrors a familiar Dream 11-style pick-and-save flow, letting fans choose 11 players per match and persist the selection through the API rather than storing it only on-device. Phone OTP login keeps sign-in simple for a mobile-first, India-focused audience.
