The challenge
Field staff and regional managers had no shared system to run survey campaigns and collect structured feedback across regions. Campaigns needed to target specific regions with their own question sets, staff needed a simple way to submit answers from the field, and managers needed to see results rolled up by campaign and region instead of chasing down paper or spreadsheet responses. Virbac splits this into a manager panel for building and reviewing campaigns and a staff panel for answering them.

What we built
We built two PHP/Bootstrap panels: an admin/manager panel for product, area and regional managers to create campaigns scoped by region with question sets, track status and dates, and review feedback reports and answer detail; and a staff panel where field staff submit campaign answers. Both are backed by their own REST APIs.
Campaign creation
Managers create campaigns with a name, region, start and end date, and a set of questions.
Region scoping
Campaigns and the managers who run them are scoped to specific regions.
Question sets
Each campaign carries its own set of questions that staff answer.
Staff answer submission
Field staff log in to a separate panel and submit answers to active campaigns.
Feedback reports
Managers review submitted answers as feedback reports with answer-level detail.
Campaign status tracking
Campaigns track status and start/end dates so managers know which are active.
Role hierarchy
Product, area and regional managers each have a defined level in the campaign hierarchy.
How it works
- A product or regional manager creates a campaign, scopes it to a region and adds questions.
- The campaign goes live for the region's field staff within its start and end dates.
- Field staff log in to the staff panel and submit answers to the campaign's questions.
- Managers review submitted answers in the feedback report and answer detail views.
- Managers track campaign status across regions as campaigns open and close.

How it’s built
Virbac is split into two PHP/Bootstrap panels, one for managers and one for field staff, each with its own REST API rather than a single shared interface. Campaigns carry a region, a question set and a status with start and end dates, so a manager's view naturally scopes to their region while staff only see campaigns open to them. Keeping the staff panel separate from the manager panel means field staff get a minimal answer-submission flow instead of the full campaign-management interface.
